its looking pretty sexy, i want to save up and buy one.

I'm writing this because i have created my first program today, titled Dan's Dead Pixel Fixer and as the name implies its a dead pixel fixer.

the concept of fixing dead pixels in this fashion is that by cycling through all the colors used by an LCD it will help to reactivate those dead or stuck pixels. I have personal expierence with this using various programs but noticed a few things that could be improved.

First of non of them ever did always on top, which mine does and non of them ever had a time variable such as mine. Also included in mine are features like sizing and looping featues which are greatly helpful.

After watching the movie Edward Scissorhands for the 6th or 7th time in the last couple weeks I feel compelled to write something about it. I feel that this movie is a masterpeice of story and acting both on the parts of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. For those of you reading this who have not seen the movie here is a brief storyboard of the movie.

The story begins with an elderly woman putting her grand daughter to sleep in her bed. The grandaughter wants to hear a story about why its snowing and after a little bit of coaxing the elderly lady begins to tell the tale. Time shifts back quite a bit to a middle aged woman, Peg Boggs an avon lady in a small suburbia neighbourhood. Pegg boggs after failing to sell anything to any of her usual customers in the suburb turn's to the creepy old mansion on top of the hill at the end of her cul-de-sac. As she ventures into the ruins ontop of the hill, she finds not residents of the house, but a strange lonely man named Edward.(played by Johnny Depp)Edward is an artificial man of sorts that inplace of hands has scissor's for hands, he is also extremely quiet and polite. Being a normal and kind person Pegg decides that she's going to bring Edward back home with her. As Edward is first entering the house he becomes mezmorized by a picture of Pegg's daughter Kim(played by Winona Ryder), Edward eventually becomes a personality in the neighbourhood because of his great skill in sculpting bushes, and cutting hair with his scissors. And after starting plans to create his own beauty salon things start to go wrong, the bank refuses to give him any kind of loan because he doesn't have any kind of indentity. Kim also gets him involved with helping her and her boyfriend Jim in a plot to steal from his own parents to get enough money to buy a van. The plan goes horribly wrong and aganst her will Kim leaves Edward in Jim's house with the alarms going and the cops coming. Edward then gets in trouble with the law and distrust among all of the neighbourhood begins to spread. Rumours and lies begin to curcilate about how edward tried to "rape" on of Pegg's friends, a cheating wife that came onto Edward. Eventually time passes and Kim breaks up with Jim because she is still furious about what he did to Edward, and as time passes into christmas, she finally confronts him.

The climax starts to build when furious Jim burst's into their yard as Edward is making an ice sculpter, Startled he spins around and accidently cuts Kim in the hand. Seeing a twisted reason Jim then goes on to kick edward out of the yard yelling at him. Kim try's to stop Jim, but Jim is to furious and mad to listen, so Kim just yells at him to just go. Edward ends up running away and the whole neighbourhood goes looking for him. Right after he started to run away, completely oposite of his normal self, Edward becomes extremely mad slashing tires and cutting down some of his sculptours. More and more people call the cops and Pegg and her husband Bill go looking for Edward as well leaving Kim alone at the house, incase someone comes back. Edward, able to avoid police detection comes back to the house to be greeted by Kim where they hold each other for a minute or ready to confess their love when they are interupted by Jim. Jim got his drunk friend Denny to drive their van over to Kim's house, driving very irratictly and it looks as though he is about to hit kim's little brother Kevin, while he's walking home from a friends house. Edward rushes out to save Kevin just in time but accidently tackles him to the ground and begins to cut his face as he's frantically trying to make sure he's ok. Jim then gets out the van and comes and Tackles Edward as a crowd begins to build behind them. Edward doesn't fight back until Jim takes things to far and so Edward Slices across his left bicep leaving blood. Edward then runs away followed by Kim and the entire town a few moments later. Edward is chased by the police back up to his mansion where the officer fires a few warning shots to scare Edward away. The people from the neighbourhood hear the shots and have to know what is going on, the officer tells them to move along and then drives away. This is when a cutscene is shown explaining what happened to Edwards Creator. The scene starts along time ago, when the mansion was still clean and Edward had short hair and was kept in good shape. The inventor grabs a small present from his desk saying "I know its a little early for Christmas Edward, but i have a present for you." He pulls out a pair of hands which he intends to give to Edward, everything seems well as he lets edward caress the hands softly, but then the happy look on the inventors face begins to fade. His smile turns into a horrible face and he collapses letting the hands fall over Edward's Scissor's tearing them apart. Edward bends down to try to awaken his creator but with no response, it is aparent that the inventor has just died. Then we come back to the present were Kim is coming up the stairs to find the mansion's top floor and Edward. As Kim is saying how worried she was that Edward was dead Jim enter's with a revolver shooting at Edward. Kim manages to knock the revolver away but Jim continues to beat on Edward with a fire poker. Kim then smacks Jim in the back of head with a peice of broken wood to make him stop and knocks him to the ground beside Edward. She then grabs one of his scissors and says "stop now, or i'll kill you myself" Jim manages to Kick Kim aside and goes back to trying to kill Edward, but Edward having time to recover fights back, Stabbing Jim in the chest and making him fall out the window. Kim and Edward say goodbye solumnly to each other realizing that their love can never be and Kim runs down stairs leaving Edward in the roof level of the mansion. Outside nearly the entire neighbourhood is standing near to were Jim's body is shocked and wondering what happened. Kim grabs a scissor hand off a shelf inside the mansion and comes out tells the town that both Jim and Edward died fighting each other. Eventually the entire town dispurses and then time goes back to the grandmother and the granddaughter in bed.

The Grand daughter ask's how do you know this grandma? Well sweetie I was there. Realizing that the grandmother was Kim from the story the little girl asks, why didn't you go see him, you still could. She replies I'd rather have him remember me that way. Then the grand daughter asks, how do you know he's still alive up there? Well i'm not sure but I believe so because, it never snowed before he came down here but after he did it always has, and I believe if he weren't up there right now it wouldn't be snowing. Scene cuts away to Edward cutting away at an ice sculpter sending billows of snow flakes out the window up in the roof part of the mansion.

 

I abosolutely love the story of this movie it shows so many moral and intelligent idea's that I can barely count. Like how a single person mixed with lies and being scared and ignorance can ruin a person's life, about how different people can scare other people and amazing lesson of not judging people. I can't begin to explain some of the other reason's why I love this movie, and if you like intelligent movies with incredble morals than I would definatly make sure you see this one. And if you already have seen it, then well Watch it again!
